Winterstoke was started in 1966 by Philip Beasley to sell paint to the growing number of painters and decorators in the expanding Weston-Super-Mare area. His first building was on a trading estate of Nissan huts - his daughter Jane joined him a year later.
By the early seventies business was going well and the business moved to its present site.
With a larger showroom and specialist warehousing, the building has expanded greatly over the last 25 years.
In the late seventies his daughter Debra joined the company followed by his grand daughter Rachael in the mid eighties, making this truly a family affair.
The company now serves the trade and D.I.Y business in the area from its trade counter. 

The company is also a factoring unit for many shops in a large area of the South-West.
